Lyrics

Hey yo! Slam yer eyeballs against this!
I was sneakin' and peekin' and scopin' the scene
Ya know, coppin' a major 'tude
When I cut loose this bunch of Dweebs,
Woa, do I have to teach 'em some rude!......uhh dog that is!
It's Rude Dog (and the Dweebs)
Rude Dog! (heeheehahaha!)
Such a Rude Dog!
Yo dudes, get rude!

Fun Facts

  • Brad McMahon created Rude Dog while under contract to Sun Sportswear in the 1980s as part of a line of surfing- and skateboarding-related clothing. However, he received no credit for the character nor money for creating him.
  • Hank Sorayan who was the VA for Tweek was also the show's producer and developed the show for television.
  • Marvel Productions (known for their comics of Spiderman, X Men and others) were the company that released the show on TV.
  • Sun Sportswear first started producing Rude Dog clothes in 1986
  • Around 6 video volumes were released of it along with posters too.
  • There were only 8 VAs. Most did more than one character in the show such as Frank Welker who voiced 3 of the main characters.
  • Each Dweeb was stereotypical-Winston posh Brit, Barney southern farmer, Reggie cool dude and so on.
  • Rude Dog drove a 1956 pink Cadillac.
  • The Dweebs lived in the garage while Rude Dog lived above it.
  • The show stopped abruptly and no one knew the real reason. It could be because they did it for a bit of fun to see if it would promote their clothing or it wasn't that popular at the time.
  • I used to love Rude Dog when I was little. One piece of merchandise that was very popular here in the US was a Rude Dog "Trapper Keeper", a velcro portfolio to hold ledger paper and folders for school. Several of my friends had them. I'd watch the show every Saturday morning but eventually remember there being some sort of problem, the same episode ran every Saturday for several weeks in a row! Then all of a sudden the show was cancelled. ~Submitted by Nate DiDonato (USA)

Quotes

(One of my favourites)
Rude Dog: Keep your eyes peeled gang!
Winston: Must we peel our eyes?

Kibble: What do you think of the pumpkin, Winston?
Winston: I rarely think of members of the squash family
Kibble: Well you're a lot of help
Winston: Thank you
